While every web project
has its own set of needs, challenges, and requirements, there
are basic considerations and milestones that
all projects share. To ensure all project goals are met, we follow
an iterative, timely, and flexible development process that involves
the client throughout the project life cycle. Our process centers
around four core components: Discover, Design, Develop,
and Deploy.
Each Velir project begins with a discovery phase to
ensure that we identify, understand, and document our client's
needs before any development begins. Discussions and meetings typically
center around project goals, audience needs and expectations, technical
requirements, maintenance needs, and content preparation.
With all of the goals and project priorities in mind,
Velir begins to develop graphic and interface design samples. The
goal of this phase is to create a user-focused design that demonstrates
how visitors will experience the site. Our design team works closely
with the engineering team to ensure the design solutions meet all
of the technical requirements of the project.
At the beginning of the development phase, Velir's design team hands all project
assets to the engineering and production teams. The engineers create increasingly
functional beta versions of the site and all components are thoroughly tested
in preparation for the site launch.
The deployment phase is reached only
after Velir has received final approval of all deliverables, exhaustive
testing of the site has been completed, and a plan is established
to ensure an easily-maintainable site. The site is then launched
and steps are taken to ensure the site is placed accurately on
search engines, marketing efforts are appropriately coordinated,
and necessary training is provided. If you are interested in learning more about
