the client throughout the project life cycle. Our process centers
around four core components: Discover, Design, Develop,
and Deploy. |

Discover |

Discuss
and prioritize project goals, with a focus on long-term needs
(e.g., maintenance, future growth, etc.)

Ensure
your site will attract and keep visitors by identifying and profiling
your audience. Make all development and design interface decisions
from their perspective.

Keep
everyone organized and on track with a Project Site, a web site
where team members can access all project deliverables.

|
Create
a Functional Specification detailing site features and development
approach.
|
| |
|
Begin
to collect content and other project assets. |
| |

|
| |
Design |
| |
|
Leverage
your brand by using existing design elements, including logos,
fonts, imagery, and color palettes.
|

|
Develop custom
imagery, including illustrations and icons.
|
| |
|
Create
a user-focused design prototype that demonstrates how a visitor
will experience the site.

|
Facilitate
communication between the design and engineering teams to ensure
the design solution meets all the back-end requirements of the project. |

Develop |
| |
|
As
a final proof of concept, generate preliminary HTML mockups. Click
through the site and ask, "does it work?"

|
Develop
clean, maintainable, and well-commented client- and server-side code.
|

|
Create
functional prototypes, or betas, of the site that become increasingly
more functional.

|
Thoroughly test
all site components on a variety of browsers, platforms, and internet
connections.

Deploy |
| |
|
Install the
site on the target server and further test all site components before
going live.
|
| |
|
Manually
register the site on the major search engines to ensure accurate
placement and the highest possible profile.
|
| |
|
Engage
in print and electronic marketing and site promotion activities,
as desired.
|
| |
|
Conduct
any necessary training or instruction on how to maintain various
areas of the site.
|
| |
|
Deliver all final
assets, including Photoshop files, original source code, and
documentation.
