KidsData.org
Overview
The Lucile Packard Foundation for Children’s Health (LPFCH), an independent public charity, worked with Velir Studios to advance its goal of promoting, protecting, and sustaining the health of children.
As the selected technical and integration partner, Velir worked with the Foundation's design team to build KidsData.org, a data-driven Web site that offers more than 250 indicators on the health and well-being of California children. Users can create custom tables, trend reports, bar charts, and pdf fact sheets on-the-fly. The site also includes summaries of data for the hundreds of cities and school districts in the Bay Area, and offers data profiles for nearly 20 demographic categories.
With KidsData.org, LPFCH furthers its mission by making information easily accessible to policy-makers, service providers, grant seekers, media, parents, and others who influence kids' lives.

“The client is a pleasure to work with. The site is cool. And I’m doing something for kids. It doesn’t get much better than that.”
