Women's Sports Foundation
Overview
Founded by Billie Jean King in 1974, The Women's Sports Foundation advocates for equality, educates the public, conducts research, and offers grants to promote sports and physical activity for girls and women. As the organization grew, WSF needed to expand its Web site to fully showcase its mission and resources.
WSF partnered with Velir to make its vision a reality. The challenge we faced was three-fold: implement the Sitecore management system, collaborate with WSF's design firm to implement a new graphic design and structure, and launch the site to coincide with the opening of WSF's women's sports museum.
The project was a success on all fronts. WSF's site is now the most comprehensive source of information and analysis on gender and sport for educators, journalists, coaches, athletic administrators, policymakers, parents, and fans. To keep the site fresh, WSF administrators use the CMS to highlight new programs, offerings, and research.

"Working with WSF was a great experience. It wasn't like they were the client and we were the vendor. The wall came down and we were one team coming together to launch a really good site."
