Designing for Usability, Findability, & Efficiency — Inside the Mass.gov Redesign

A site that serves 6.5+ million residents of all ages, backgrounds, and needs is one that presents many unique challenges and opportunities. So, when the Mass.gov team brought us onboard, we were excited to be able to create a solution that helps constituents use the site to accomplish their tasks quickly and effectively.

We conducted a design gut test, created brand pillars and mood boards, and used Pattern Lab to create a shared library of elements and components for use by 275 agencies.
