Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) are extremely important to us. To integrate these practices on a fundamental level, we have an external consultant review our handbook and policies to ensure they are inclusive and don't include unconscious bias. We also partner with networking groups like She+ Geeks Out that generate opportunities for underrepresented groups in technology and we actively engage in company-wide DEI training from external partners. Our training has included some of the following topics:

  • Navigating difficult conversations
  • Privilege and power

Recruitment Fraud Statement

We have been made aware of external parties using our company name for recruitment activity and fraudulent schemes. These scams include misleading communication via instant messaging accounts, email accounts not associated with Velir or Brooklyn Data Co. We will not ask for sensitive personal information such as social security numbers, date of birth, or bank account details via email, during telephone, in-person, or video interviews. Nor will we at any time during our hiring process or employment ask you to send us wire transfers, gift cards, or money. Note that any communication would come from @velir.com email address.
